Organised by a group of Christian people who believe we need to stand against that most ancient of racial hatreds\, antisemitism. \nWe are committed to ensuring that no such evil finds a home in our beautiful country of Australia. In a powerful display of solidarity and shared Australian values\, and in response to a 738% uplift in reported antisemitic incidents since October 7th 2023\, non-Jews will gather with Jewish people in a series of events in every Australian capital city. \nWe know that the history and politics of the Middle East is complicated. However\, we firmly believe that there is never an excuse for antisemitism. We believe Australians must stand together in solidarity with our Jewish friends and neighbors. \nWe believe that decent\, peace loving Australians oppose antisemitism\, and want a safe\, inclusive\, and cohesive society for all. \nWe look forward to working with anyone of any religious or non-religious\, background who wishes to join us in this stand. \nWe doing this in partnership with Christian Action Against Antisemitism UK\, and are part of a growing global movement of Christians standing against antisemitism. \nWe partner closely with support of Jewish and Israeli community organisations. \nWe will sing. We will pray. We will push back the darkness and the hatred. \nThe event will occur over 1.5 hours in a large location in Central Sydney. Location to be announced closer to the event (for security).
