As the Royal Commission continues with its appalling testimonies of antisemitism, ICEJ Australia prepared and led a joint and comprehensive submission to the Royal Commission to make clear that thousands of Christian leaders and organisations, Church and denominational leaders stand with the Jewish community in Australia. Thank you to those who took the opportunity to sign it.

Antisemitism is a global problem and even within the Church, evangelicals are swallowing the poison of Jew hate. This has alarmed Israel and her Christian friends. At the Emergency Church Summit in Jerusalem last week, hundreds of Christian Leaders worldwide not only received world class teaching from theologians and experts, but practical tools and resources. In a recorded message broadcast at the summit, Israeli President Isaac Herzog thanked Christian leaders for mobilizing against antisemitism. Fox news published a special report.

I was honoured to be invited along with other Christian Zionist leaders, to a Shabbat dinner hosted by the Embassy of Israel. I attended this very meaningful evening alongside our Government Liaison and Board Director, Mark Mudri. The Embassy expressed their deep appreciation of friendship in a letter: “Thank you for attending the Shabbat dinner last Friday. It was a pleasure for the Ambassador to host you, and to hear about the inspiring work you are doing in your communities and organisations to support Israel and the Jewish people. It is especially heartening to witness such strong support at a time of surging hostility towards Israel worldwide, and we honour your commitment to standing with truth.”

Isaiah 51, says, “I who set the heavens in place, who laid the foundations of the earth, and who say to Zion, ‘You are My people.’” We know that the promises of God will come to pass for His first Chosen People regardless of the trials they face but we do not want to fail the opportunity we have been given, to come alongside them at this distressing time. Please pray for our Jewish brothers and sisters, and for a good outcome from the Royal Commission.
