ICEJ Australia Israel Tour at the Sea of Galilee
“I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go into the house of the LORD. Our feet have been standing within your gates, O Jerusalem!”
Psalm 122:1-2
ICEJ Australia’s Feast tour group has been experiencing the joy of seeing greater significance of the Scriptures by visiting sites of Biblical importance. From the heights of Bashan (Golan) to the Salt Sea (Dead Sea) lowest point on earth and now in the Holy City of Jerusalem, they are gaining insights and knowledge of ancient and modern Israel. As well, there has been time for worship and prayer, especially while on the Lake of Galilee and visiting Sukkat Hallel, a House of 24/7 Prayer that looks across to Mt Zion.
Ancient streets … older than Jerusalem. House of Simon the Tanner and setting for Jonah & the fish.
Contemplating in the Garden of Gethsemane
Magdala – the home town of Mary Magdalene where many miracles occurred. This is one of the most important archaeological finds since the Dead Sea scrolls.
ICEJ’s Feast of Tabernacles, again in person as well as online, is an explosion of colour and worship and combines local Messianic worship teams and speakers, as well as international speakers. The Australian group joined 2000 other pilgrims at the Arena in Jerusalem for a beautiful celebration that included the Roll Call of the Nations where each nation is introduced with its flag. Our worship team Avad Oz who travelled separately to Israel, were reunited there with their fellow Aussies. We are looking forward to more of the Feast.
A precious night on Feast Day 3, during the Parade of the Nations. More than 85 nations represented…hallelujah!
Amidst the excitement of discovering the Land of Israel, a visit to the holocaust memorial museum was a sobering reminder of the suffering of the Jewish people and the silence of the nations at that time. Christian Friends of Yad Vashem was founded in October 2006 in partnership with the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem in order to educate Christians about the universal lessons of the Holocaust. For Christians to be invited to partner with this institution that holds the deep pain of the Jewish community, is a solemn privilege.
Please consider a generous gift towards the ICEJ work with Holocaust Survivors!
Shabbat Shalom!
