National Day of Mourning
The ICEJ Australian family bowed their heads on January 22nd in memory of 15 Australians gunned down in an Islamic terror attack at Bondi Beach. Our support for the Jewish community will stand strong always.
International Holocaust Day
In 2005 the UN declared the 27th of January as International Holocaust Day. We encourage you to attend public events in your local community or capital city to stand with the Jewish community.
ALIYAH 2026
Nearly 22,000 new immigrants arrived in Israel in 2025.
Some of the last immigrants in 2025 were two ICEJ sponsored Ethiopian families, one of 6 members and one of 5 members. The eldest is a 51-year-old father and the youngest is a little 3-year-old.
Bringing them home continues in 2026.
Unprecedented antisemitism in the West is driving Jews out the countries to which they have contributed so much and in which they felt secure. So, it is significant that the first new immigrants to Israel in 2026 are from Australia.
“Then fear not, O Jacob my servant, declares the LORD, nor be dismayed, O Israel;
for behold, I will save you from far away, and your offspring from the land of their captivity.” Jeremiah 30:10
An Historic Decision
In late November, the Israeli government made a decision that will forever change the lives of more than 5,000 people of Israelite descent living in the remote hills of northeastern India.
In an historic move, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s cabinet approved a five-year plan to complete the Aliyah of the Bnei Menashe community — descendants of the ancient Israelite tribe of Manasseh who have kept their Jewish identity alive for 2,700 years of exile.
For the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem, the sponsor of Aliyah flights for nearly half of all Bnei Menashe immigrants since 2012, this announcement represents the fulfilment of decades of prayer, advocacy and practical support. It is also a powerful reminder that God’s promises to “bring your descendants from the east” (Isaiah 43:5) continue to unfold in our generation.
As this five-year project begins, we invite you to stand with us in bringing these last “descendants from the east” home to Israel. Your support can sponsor flights, provide absorption assistance, and help families reunite after years of separation.
Preparation, flights, initial absorption is approximately $3,000 per person.
Happy birthday to the trees of Israel!
Yes, the trees have a birthday in the Holy Land. The 15th of Shevat, the Eleventh Month in the Biblical Calendar, was the date on which the maturity of the fruit was measured to determine the tithe as it was forbidden by God to harvest a fruit tree until its fourth year (Leviticus 19:23).
This year it falls on the 2nd February. Just after the northern hemisphere’s mid-winter, the trees’ sap begins to rise in time and the beautiful blooms of almond trees dot the land as a sign that spring is coming.

GLOBAL PRAYER WATCH
At ICEJ, we believe prayer is the engine of our ministry and should touch every part of what we are doing in Israel and around the world! We want you, our partners, to engage with us in prayer via our multiple prayer initiatives throughout the month and make the maximum impact in praying for God’s land and His people in these trying times.
With the constant threat of attack, the rising witness of Antisemitism and the devastation left behind in the lives of so many across Israel and globally – now is the time to gather in prayer and uplift the nation of Israel.
Blessings,
Sarah Way
