Mourning changed to dancing last Tuesday evening as Israel’s Memorial Day for fallen soldiers and victims of terror concluded, and celebrations began for Modern Israel’s 78th year. The jarring switch from grief to rejoicing is a reminder of the cost of Israel’s Independence, gained in 1948. We rejoice with her and on Sunday in Sydney, ICEJ will be represented at a celebration held by Australian Jewish Community.

Israel's Independence Day Family Festival

If you live in Sydney, you can come and celebrate with us this Sunday April 26th –Independence Day Family Carnival, 12:30pm – 4:30pm, Eastern Suburbs location. Some of our team will be there, come and find our ICEJ stand to meet some of the team.

This  Saturday, the 25th of April 2026, Australia and New Zealand remember their own fallen. In light of Israel’s recent Independence Day celebration, we recount the never to be forgotten ANZAC bravery  when the Mounted New Zealanders took a strategic Turkish position opening the possibility of taking Beersheva and its important and desperately needed water wells by the Australian Light Horse. That epic charge which took control of the town was the last great cavalry charge in military history leading the end of the Ottoman Empire’s rule over the Holy Land and eventually to the re-establishment of the State of Israel.

Combatting Global Antisemitism

ICEJ President Dr. Jürgen Bühler spoke out against an effigy of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that was burned as part of a recent Easter service in Spain. He has rightly called out Israel hostility which even more sadly, was on display in the name of Christianity. This was well received by the global Jewish community.

ICEJ Australia is hosting His Excellency Ambassador Hillel Newman and Deputy Foreign Minister of Israel Sharren Miriam Haskel-Harpaz for this ONLINE event exclusively for our leading supporters of Israel, Christian Pastors and leaders and heads of Christian /Zionist organisations.

The exact time and date is TBC, but if you are interested please register and we will be sending out more information in due course.

We are urgently convening the Jerusalem Summit. Our aim is to equip Christian leaders to understand and respond to modern antisemitism, to restore biblical clarity on Israel, covenant and the Church, and to strengthen the Church’s public and theological witness in a time of confusion.

This summit is intentionally practical. Participants will receive usable teaching from leading theologians and experts around the world, pastoral tools and resources ready for immediate implementation in churches, Bible schools and leadership networks. This is meant to be taught, preached and lived.

The Jerusalem Summit is especially for pastors, theologians, Bible teachers and leaders responsible for doctrine, education and public witness — for all who love Israel and care about the integrity of the Church. I urge you to give the Jerusalem Summit priority.

The Restoration of Israel ICEJ Australia

The Restoration of Israel

Israel today is a remarkable country. Yet the land of Israel was not always so fruitful. God promised that one day He would come and find His people, no matter how far they had been scattered, and return them to the land promised to Abraham and his descendants as an “everlasting possession.”
