Caring For the Vulnerable Women Of Israel

In the heart of Tel Aviv, hidden from the public eye, exists a women’s outreach centre that offers much more than just food and shelter.

The Red Carpet Salon, supported by the generosity of Christians from around the world, is a sanctuary for some of the most vulnerable women in Israeli society. For over two decades, this centre has provided essential services and, more importantly, the love and care these women never receive on the streets. Through its all-inclusive approach, the centre helps restore dignity, offering destitute women a chance at a better life.

ICEJ supporters had the opportunity to visit the Red Carpet Salon and witness firsthand the incredible attention and care that is given to the women who come through its doors. They arrived at the centre, where they were met with a warm welcome by Anat and her team of volunteers.

Anat has run this centre for 21 years and still manages to smile and encourage all those who visit. The centre has a small salon for hair, feet, and nails, a rest area, showers, and a dining area. At present, it is open two days a week, and there are plans in place to open another centre in Haifa.

On the day of the supporters visit, around twenty women came to the Centre for a variety of services, including food, clothing, showers, hair washes, and pedicures. Each of the women received loving care.

At the salon the ladies are treated with love and respect, which they do not receive on the streets. A life of drugs, prostitution, trafficking, and abuse has a heartbreaking impact on these women and the Red Carpet Centre helps to restore a degree of dignity to their lives.

The rapport that Anat and her team have built over the years with these women is truly remarkable. They have reached into an unseen part of Israel in which there is poverty and degradation.

Jannie Tolhoek, ICEJ Aid team, accompanied the ICEJ visitors to the centre, and said, “The love, dignity, and hope being restored here are a direct result of the support we receive from Christians around the world. This is where the heart of our mission truly meets the reality of change.”

Through the generosity of donors and dedicated volunteers, the Red Carpet salon brings light into one of Israel’s darkest corners, offering hope and restoring lives. Your support can make an even greater impact, helping to bring hope to those in desperate need of a hand up in life.

Help us roll out the red carpet and restore dignity for more such women in Israel through our ‘Future and a Hope’ program. Donate today. And keep Anat and her team and the ladies to whom they show such love, in your prayers.

The Restoration of Israel

Israel today is a remarkable country. Yet the land of Israel was not always so fruitful. God promised that one day He would come and find His people, no matter how far they had been scattered, and return them to the land promised to Abraham and his descendants as an “everlasting possession.”
