An Aussie Bomb Shelter

Australia’s First Bomb Shelter

Thanks to your support, I’m thrilled to announce that Australia has just delivered our very first fully dedicated bomb shelter providing hope, peace of mind, and security to the survivors of October 7 Massacre at a trauma retreat centre in the rural Golan Heights.

It was a cold wet day in Israel’s north, near the border of Syria when ICEJ Australia’s Bomb shelter arrived. However, the excitement of the recipients was not dampened by the weather, as they watched lifesaving missile shelters being delivered. “There are no words,” one said, “to express our deepest, deepest thanks.” They were so thankful, amazed, and excited about such a speedy response to their need.

The area was a tourist site popular with families. There is no tourism in the area now, but there is a huge need for help for the many people from the north who were at the Nova Festival in the south. Therefore, the Centre will provide therapeutic care for those in the region with weekend retreats, workshops, and other events with specialised trauma response staff. There is no other place like this available in the north.

It is sad that shelters from missiles should be required in such a tranquil area which was a popular holiday destination for Israelis, but sadly Israel’s north now lives with constant threat of attack. We are honoured to be able to reach out from Australia and provide such essential assistance.

March 8 – International Women’s Day

We want to honour Israeli women today. The women who are living with the pain of the loss of loved ones who were murdered or abducted on October 7; the women who are relocated to temporary accommodation caring for their families and children while their husbands are on the Front; the women fighting to protect their people; the women who face the shocking reality of their country at war; especially, we honour and direct our prayers to the 14 women aged from 18 to 39 who are still captives.

“He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them.” Psalm 145:19

Soon the heroism of a woman will be celebrated throughout the Jewish world in the Festival of Purim. Esther stood up for her people in a dark time when a plot was formulated to destroy the Jews. Please stand in prayer, aid and advocacy for the women of Israel. Stay tuned for a wonderful project we are about to launch that will benefit both Jewish and Arab women during this difficult time.

Shabbat Shalom,

Sarah Way

The Restoration of Israel ICEJ Australia

The Restoration of Israel

Israel today is a remarkable country. Yet the land of Israel was not always so fruitful. God promised that one day He would come and find His people, no matter how far they had been scattered, and return them to the land promised to Abraham and his descendants as an “everlasting possession.”
