Riding To Victory
Please meet Marty! Marty is a part Appaloosa horse, an Australian gift to an Equine Therapy Program serving the southern communities of Israel. While attending the Envision Pastors and Leaders Conference in Jerusalem, I visited some of the projects our Australian Branch has supported, including this invaluable program.

It was exciting to see Marty working with children each day, playing an important role in the rehabilitation of damaged minds from the events of October 7, 2023. It was especially appropriate for our branch to gift a horse due to the part Australian horses played in liberating the Holy Land from the Ottoman Empire.
Please take a moment to read the full article about the liberating work your Aussie donated horse Marty is undertaking for traumatised orphans and children at Kibbutz Urim.
Rebuilding Communities
Orit, who was born in Kfar Aza, recounted to the visiting pastors from Envision her once peaceful life on the kibbutz and her dreams of living harmoniously with their nearby neighbours in Gaza. But on that dark day 16 months ago, her dream was shattered. “We saw things our own eyes could not believe,” Orit shared, noting that 64 members of Kfar Aza were killed and 19 more taken hostage during the October 7 massacre.
Yet amid her lingering grief, Orit is upbeat about the future. “We will not let them win,” she resolved. “I want to live well and go back to my home in Kfar Aza. We want to rebuild our life. I want my grandchildren to be raised like I was. We must rebuild, even more beautifully than before.”
Please donate generously to support the upkeep of Marty and subsidised therapy rides at the Equine Therapy program, which is a beacon of light to the surrounding Kibbutz communities.
Also, please help us to rebuild the southern Kibbutz communities. The Australian branch is partnering with Kibbutz Be’eri to rebuild their kindergarten, which was completely ruined. Further details are to come, but until then please prayerfully consider giving.

Isaiah 60:10-12 “Foreigners will rebuild your walls, and their kings will serve you. Though in anger I struck you, in favour I will show you compassion.
The return of Shiri, Ariel and Kfir Bibas in coffins brought a fresh outpouring of grief in Israel and the Jewish world, shattering the desperate hope of return for this Jewish family. Across the world, people of humanity bowed their heads in sorrow and landmarks were lit in orange, a symbol of the boys’ striking red hair. It was a moment of wrenching anguish in a year of anguish. ICEJ Australia is praying for the Bibas family, especially Shiri’s husband Yarden, a recently released hostage, and for all those in Israel who have suffered loss or still wait for their loved ones to return from captivity.
Letter To your MP
We have prepared a template letter to write to your local MP and Senators to express your horror at the Bibas family tragedy and urge our leaders to take a stronger stance in support of Israel and against antisemitism.
