The Late Rabbi Jonathon Sacks stated, “If there is one thing I and my contemporaries did not expect, it was that antisemitism would reappear in Europe within living memory of the Holocaust. The reason we did not expect it was that Europe had undertaken the greatest collective effort in all of history to ensure that the virus of antisemitism would never again infect the body politic. It was a magnificent effort of antiracist legislation, Holocaust education and interfaith dialogue. Yet antisemitism has returned despite everything.“
Since the murder and kidnapping of Israelis on October 7th, initial sympathy has turned to hostile demonstrations of hatred of Israel across the world. Surging antisemitism has brought fear to Jewish families. We cannot be silent.

The battle against this evil ideology is our battle. As Christians it is our duty to do everything we can to help churches recognize antisemitism for what it is and stand against it.
It was heartening to read a joint letter by six former Australian prime ministers declaring, “There is no more tenaciously evil race hatred than antisemitism,” and warning that “the terrorist organisation, Hamas, wants to fuel ancient hatreds throughout the world.”
You can take a STAND too!

Please stand with your local Jewish Community this November 9-10
On this night, we remember Kristallnacht, when German Nazis launched a brutal attack on Jewish persons and property in 1938. Each year this prelude to the Holocaust is commemorated.
If you have the opportunity, please join with the Jewish community in your State for this solemn remembrance. Contact your local Synagogues to support the Jewish community in your area.
