AN UPDATE FROM OUR TEAM

“Comfort, comfort My people, says the LORD your God,” begins a passage from Isaiah 40 which was read in the synagogues last week.

‘Comfort’, in a small but meaningful way was provided recently by showing our solidarity. ICEJ Victorian team attended a special event in which Josh Frydenberg and Nova Peris inspired us to continue to take a public stand against the rise in antisemitism. For 43 years, through good times and times of crisis, the ICEJ has offered comfort to Israel.  We continue to do so and are pleased and privileged that the Australian Branch has contributed to many vital projects during the current war situation.

We are currently involved in another urgent project. Your TAX DEDUCTIBLE donations will ensure a trauma therapy room with the safety of a missile shelter will be completed before the school year returnsThe room will be part of a larger facility being repurposed and missile protected and a gift from Australia to the people of Israel living in the southern border communities.

Isaiah 40:1was taken seriously by a group of Christians in Jerusalem in 1980. Birthed at a time of crisis for Israel, a Christian Embassy was established in Jerusalem as the world’s Embassies relocated to Tel Aviv under threat of an oil boycott if they did not.

FEAST OF TABERNACLES CELEBRATION 16TH-23RD OCTOBER

Feast of Tabernacles 2024 Jerusalem

This year’s Feast will be unlike any other before it, as Christians gather from the nations to show their love and support for the grieving nation of Israel. We will be taking special steps to honour those most impacted by the atrocities of last October.

Your presence at this year’s Feast will serve as a great encouragement and comfort to Israelis, and help you better testify to what this nation has been through over the past year. – ICEJ President Dr Juergen Buhler
